“But let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with joy.”
– Psalm 68:3
What does it mean to be joyful? Does it mean living with an exuberant sense of happiness? Does it mean delighting in one’s existence with an outlandish feeling of gladness? Is it about being overwhelmed by an all-consuming peace? Or is it about being fully present before the Highest of the High? Perhaps, it is a bit of all of those things and then some.
Joy comes from the Source who is defined by love itself. To be joyful, in essence, is to appreciate the fullness of God as He is and as He lives within each one of us. It is about being filled with His Spirit. That is reason enough to rejoice.
