(A Message based on Francis Chan’s book, Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God)
“People who are obsessed with God have an intimate relationship with Him. They are nourished by God’s Word throughout the day because they know that forty minutes on Sunday is not enough to sustain them for a whole week, especially when they will encounter so many distractions and alternative messages.”
– Francis Chan, Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God
Table Talk: To be completely obsessed and overtaken with thoughts and actions directed toward the Most High, that is living. To focus one’s entire being on Him…are there any words to adequately express what that means or what that looks like? Intimacy. Relationship. Surrender. Fellowship. Communion. A holy covenant. This is what living alive in Christ is all about.
Reflections: Life in Christ, life with the Spirit, and life before the Father can all be viewed through the scope of oneness. As such, one’s essence should be dedicated to living fully, completely, and totally in sync with that notion.
Table Talk Discussion Question: Has your primary focus been on God, self, or the world? Discuss.
