Week 5– >

Position:  Psalm 40:11-12 (The Voice)

Pore & Paraphrase: Only in the LORD can we find the strength that we need to endure, the love that we crave to satisfy our unsettled hearts and the merciful kindness that we seek to keep watch over our souls. Even in those moments when we cannot find our way out of our pits of trouble,  our snares of despair or our valleys of lost hope, God is our refuge. He will never forsake His own.

Pull Out:

– The LORD God is everything we will ever need, divinely and perfectly so.

– If we are to move beyond our low places, we must acknowledge and accept the Most High in His high place. (Translation: Bow down and worship the LORD. Give Him His due reverence.)

– When we are in the safety of the LORD, we are sheltered from dangerous pursuits and troubles.

Pose:

– Do you allow God to be God over your life, providing for and attending to your every need?

– Is it easier for you to wallow in your personal pit or is it easier for you to praise the LORD as He leads you from the valley of the shadow of death?

– What does being in the safety of the LORD mean to you personally?

Plan & Pin: This week, focus on studying Psalm 17:8.
