“The love of Christ compels us…” – 2 Corinthians 5:14

Utmost: Classic Readings and Prayers : (A Quote from the Book)“The one thing that gripped and held Paul, to the exclusion of everything else, was the love of God. ‘The love of Christ compels us…’ When you hear that coming from the life of a man or woman it is unmistakable. You will know that the Spirit of God is completely unhindered in that person’s life.” – Day 14

935693Table Talk: Love is the foundation on which we should all stand. It should be our guide, our compass, our script, our everything. It should influence us so much so that every action, response and thought is steered by it. If we allowed it to rule us, if we allowed Him to rule us (1 John 4:8), our lives would be so much the better for it.

Table Talk Discussion Question: Do you allow the love of God to reign in your life? Why or why not?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are supreme in every way. You rule mightily and lovingly, having full command over all things in existence. We give You full control over our lives and hearts from this day forward. Have Your way. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
