The Moment You Realize You’re Free

“Christ has freed us so that we may enjoy the benefits of being free. Therefore, be firm in this freedom, and don’t become slaves again.” – Galatians 5:1

You are free! Did you know that? You. Are. Free. You are free so that you might enjoy the benefits, the blessings, and the privileges of being free. Jesus Christ did that for you.

But what does being free really mean? What does it look like? How can you live it if you don’t even know what it means?

Being free means that you have been liberated. It means that you have been delivered. You have been released…from bondage, from sin, from mistakes, from past choices, and so much more.

It means that you have been exonerated. It means that your record has been expunged. That you have been cleared of all the charges that were once held against you. It means that you no longer have to be burdened by the weight of the subject or object that once contributed to your incarceration.

The LORD, your Savior, did that for Y-O-U. He did it once and for all.

If He did this for you, if He desired for you to be free and to enjoy the benefits thereof, why not do so? Why would you choose to be in captivity? Why would you choose to subject yourself to bondage?

You have been unshackled. Unchained. Detached. There is nothing that can hold you down or back. Christ made sure of this.

Question4U: Are you the only one standing in the way of your own freedom?

The moment you realize that you are free, you can live. You can become enlivened, so much so that your whole being is taken over, having become focused on the praise and the glory of God.

Spiritual Life Fitness Tip: Live free. Allow yourself to taste freedom every day that you are given.
