About the Book:
Is a simple life too much to ask for?
Ben used to be a cardiothoracic surgeon before he suddenly abandoned his career and became a janitor at a retirement facility. Now, other than dealing with minor problems such as an unhealthy obsession with prime numbers, an inept boss, and a feud between two cantankerous retirees, he lives a relatively stress-free life. There is even hope for romance when an attractive podiatrist shows an interest in him.
But it is not long before his past catches up with him and his carefully protected world begins to unravel. He is forced to face deep issues about life and God head-on, rather than hide behind his cleaning cart.
Phone Tree Review: One of my favorite things to do is to read a good book. I love the idea of finding the perfect story. Whether the story is romance-infused, tragic in part, an emotional whirlwind, quirky and fantastical, Christian-based, or something that falls along the lines of “otherwise,” I am game to read it. I am game…as long as there is a message or a takeaway that teaches me a lesson in some fashion. Prime of Life does that and more.
This book starts off in one place and ends in another, but it works. Filled with deep, humorous, and quite memorable situations, Prime of Life is a winning read. From the colorful characters to the concluding angelic epiphany, this book will undoubtedly win you over.
