Don’t Forget (Things to Remember When Life Gets Hard)

Doing life is no joke. It’s hard! Sometimes, it’s even downright painful. Thankfully, none of us have to do this life thing alone. Having God on our side helps. (Aren’t you glad to know that? I am, for sure.) Anyway, this morning, as I was spending some quiet time with the LORD, I began to earnestly think about the things that I want to remember during my hard, difficult, dry and/or troubled seasons. I seriously reflected on the core truths that I don’t want to forget. I want to share them with you.

#1: Don’t forget that God is always present and aware. He is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient concerning all things, especially you and me.

#2: Don’t forget that a freedom pathway has been forged, which guarantees an escape from whatever obstacle, stronghold, temptation, or hard circumstance exists. Jesus made the way; He is the Way.

#3: Don’t forget that the Bible is a power source that equips, empowers, edifies, and teaches. It is meant to be studied and used.

#4: Don’t forget that no matter how much you may feel lonely, fearful, scarred, or deflated, you are not alone in this thing. The Holy Spirit of God dwells within. His power is active at all times. Allow it to be so.

#5: Don’t forget that you can resist the evil one. Know that you have the authority to reject him and his schemes. It is not of yourself, rather it is of God.

#6: Don’t forget that prayer is your avenue of connection. It is for your intimate and honest encounters with God.

#7: Don’t forget that everything comes down to the spiritual. Everything! Remember to live a godly, holy, sanctified (set apart) life, with much praise and thanksgiving.
