A Phone Tree Bible Study based on Beautiful Mess: Motherhood for Every Moment by Sherry Surratt and Tracey Eyster
As much as women desire to be mothers, sometimes the challenges and circumstances are not what they ever expected.
Phone Tree Bible Study Focus Topic: Week 2: Day 2 – > Believing the Deceiver
The Beautiful (Resonating Quotes from the Book): “There is a real Enemy who wants to keep you from knowing how loved you are by God, and that Enemy will whisper lies to you…No matter the home you came from or the issues in your home now, you have the power to beat back the lies of the Enemy. You hold all the power when you walk through life with Father God.”
The Mess (The Takeaway from the Lesson): The Enemy has perfected his craft of deception. He has long observed and studied you, mom. He knows what delights you, what haunts you, what you are tempted by, what you are tormented by, and at any time, he will use those things against you. Why? He does this in order to trick you into losing focus so that you might shift your gaze and attention from God.
But what else does the Enemy – the great Deceiver – know? He knows that if he is able to trick, con, lure, devastate, or overwhelm you that he can also get to those who follow after you – your beloved children. But God…in His infinite wisdom, power and love provided the Eternal Truth Himself for you and your loved ones. The Christ, Jesus, has utterly and forever destroyed and destroys (present tense) all that is untruth.
