In the A.M.|Love Others Enough to Tell Them About Jesus

In the A.M. (My Thoughts About the I AM in the A.M.)

1:43 A.M.

Every day that we live, I realize more and more how much our lives are not our own. They don’t belong to us. They belong to the LORD. Isn’t that a beautiful blessing? Our lives belong to the One who created us, who provides for us, who protects us, who alone satisfies every need in us.

Every chance that we get, we have an opportunity to share Him with others and to show Him to others. We get to know Him and make Him known. We get to spread His Good News message. We get to love the LORD and to love others enough to share the greatest gift ever known to man – JESUS.

Go and Tell Others About the One Who Breaks Every Chain

Jesus. The name above all names. He is Savior and LORD. He is the Life and the Light. He alone is the One who is the hope and salvation of all. He alone saves us. He alone is the love of God who was made manifest to all creation. He is the power, strength and Word of God made alive. He is the One who overcame sin and death and who fulfilled the promise, giving all men a chance to be free and to be with the Most High for all eternity. There is power in His name. Power enough to break every chain. Did you know that? Good, if so. Well, guess what? Others may not know Jesus or know that He has the power to break every chain. They may not know that He is the power! As the LORD’s creation, we must all go forward and tell others the who and the what of Jesus. We must love enough to tell it all.

The “Tell Enough” Story

Sometimes when we talk to others or try to talk to others about Jesus, many of us don’t know what to say. I say, tell them the “tell enough” story. This story has four key parts – the time (Genesis 1, John 1, and 1 John 1), the tell (The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), the testimony (your story of how you came to know and follow Christ and His saving grace), and the talk (the message of God’s hope extended outward in invitation, where His story intersects with theirs).

My A.M. Challenge to You

Each one of us has been given a chance to live a Mark 12:30-31  lifestyle. My challenge to you is to go and do that. Go and live loving God and others enough to do that and to tell that (go back and re-read  this whole post again to really get what I’m trying to tell you on this day).

Praise in the Low Places, Part 1

What does the Bible say about praise? Psalm 34:1 answers that question perfectly.

Spiritual Life Development Question: Is it possible to praise God even in the low places of life?

Before you answer that, I want to cite a few Biblical examples of “low places” from the Scriptures. As you review and consider the listed references, try to see whether or not a praise proof was evident anywhere in the story.

– Moses after he fled Egypt

– Joseph post his pit dwelling experience

– Daniel and his friends during captivity

– David after his betrayal and trickery

– Jesus in Gethsemane

Follow the Phone Tree over the next few weeks as we dissect each of these examples and attempt to identify the proof of praise in each.

A Theology of Matthew: Jesus Revealed As Deliverer, King, and Incarnate Creator

A Week of Reviews…Day 3

A Theology of Matthew: Jesus Revealed As Deliverer, King, and Incarnate Creator (Explorations in Biblical Theology)Review: A Theology of Matthew: Jesus Revealed As Deliverer, King, and Incarnate Creator (Explorations in Biblical Theology)  by Charles L. Quarles was quite frankly one of the most well put together Biblical resource books I have read in a while. It was both thoughtful and thorough. I learned so much.

Written in such a way that it was simple and clear, while at the same time being scholarly, it presented extensive information on the person and deity of Jesus Christ. It was rich in scriptural details. It provided a considerate perspective on how Jesus was likely perceived in ancient times, as well as on how He is perceived now. It had a thematic and theological aspect. It also afforded me with a conclusive takeaway and challenge per revealed concept.

This book was serious but not so much that I got lost in the details. It captured my attention, held it, fed it, and had me wanting to learn more. The references were plentiful and the breakdown of the content was ideal. I found myself in student/researcher mode the entire time I read this book.

This is the type of book that must be savored. It must be read slowly and precisely. It will encourage deeper consideration and deeper study. It has earned the status of favorite for my personal library. A one-time reading will not be enough. I can unwaveringly say that I will revisit it again and again.

How Jesus, Jazzercise and Juicing Changed My Life

A Spiritual Life Fitness Message…How Jesus, Jazzercise and Juicing Changed My Life (The Introduction)  Kim's Fun

Over the years, I have had a love affair with many things. I have loved and longed for God, been lost (and found) in the heart of bible study, craved raw and living foods, and had an intense passion for exercise of the non-traditional variety. But if the truth were to be told, as I aged and began raising my family, many of those once loved things took a back seat and as such, my overall health and wellness took a hit. It wasn’t until I decided to actively engage in a self-initiated, personalized plan called Temple Building (The J3 Method) that things began to change.

What is Temple Building (The J3 Method)?

Temple Building (The J3 Method) is an individualized program that I developed that is geared toward health, wellness, and restoration on every level. It deals with the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, familial and relational aspects of life. Utilizing Biblical principles, along with fitness and exercise, as well as nutritional strategies, God blessed me to be able to turn my life around. I was able to detox in every way, releasing toxins, baggage, weight, worry, and a whole list of other things. God took me from a dis-eased and debilitated state to a more healthy and abundant state. He freed me up to be free.

Over the coming weeks, I would like to share with you a few of the Temple Building (The J3 Method) tips and techniques that I learned along the way. Just as God showed me a better way to live freely, I hope that through this unique series He will be able to show you a new kind of freedom also. I can tell you now that you’ll learn a lot about Jesus, a lot about Jazzercise, and a lot about juicing. If you are game, you will see a whole new side of wellness.

What Should I Expect?

During the course of this three-week series, I’ll be sharing power Scriptures with practical life lessons, fitness tips, and even simple juicing recipes. I’ll discuss three key aspects of Temple Building (The J3 Method). Although there are other aspects, the ones I’ll present are specifically designed to build up the body in a very unique way.

What Do I Need to Know?

I will post messages related to this topic every Thursday, beginning on Thursday, February 14, 2013 and ending on Thursday, February 28, 2013. You may ask questions or comment if you like, but know that there is absolutely no pressure to do so. If you prefer to directly email me, you may do so. Refer to the IGNITE tab at the top of this page to secure my contact information.

God bless,

“Do you not know that your body is the temple of The Spirit of Holiness who dwells within you, whom you have received from God, and you are not your own?”

Following In The Footsteps of Jesus…HOLY, HOLY, HOLY

Matthew 4:1-11

From the moment Jesus Christ arose from the refreshing waters of baptism, He was focused on the course ahead of Him. Most immediate in His path was the battle with Satan. Despite each temptation presented to Him by the deceiver, His attention never wavered from the mission He was sent to complete.

Mark 14:32-42

In a moment of great distress, Jesus went before His Father in prayer. Alone in the Garden of Gethsemane, He cried out from the depths of His heart. Though He would soon face countless betrayals, He chose to go forward in strength and power.

Luke 24:30-51

All power was given unto Christ. Within Him was the power of life and resurrection. After He arose from the grave, He demonstrated His power in the presence of a great many witnesses and firmly established a path for all to take.

John 1

The Word became flesh and dwelled among men. Filled with glory and full of grace and truth, Jesus Christ was the purpose of all things fulfilled.
