CLING| Now Available!

Good morning and blessings to all!

By now, you may well have heard the news – CLING by Kim Cash Tate is now available. This is exciting news for many reasons. Not only will you now have access to this amazing Bible study, but you will also get to take part in a Phone Tree featured reflection walk with me.

Over the next few weeks, I will be sharing my heart’s response and my own transparent convictions about how Kim’s words and lessons affected me. In sharing with you, I will hold nothing back. It is my hope that through this exercise of openness and honesty, others seeking a “lifestyle of intimacy with God” will be encouraged to do the same. Just as Kim’s very real truths impacted me and showed me the more of wanting and knowing God, I pray that you also will be impacted and want the more of knowing God.

Phone Tree Book Review:

CLING: Choosing a Lifestyle of Intimacy with God by Kim Cash Tate is a Bible study that will meet you where you are and take you where you want to go. The appeal of this book lies in its invitation to know God; but really, it’s more than that. With Scripture-rich points and narrative vignettes, Tate extends her hand and leads readers toward the One who knows them best. For those ready for and/or needing more, this book will do much to propel you forward, to urge you further, and to ground you deeper.

Encouragement for Your Journey, Mom (2/4)

A Weekly Encouragement Series based on Hope for the Weary Mom Devotional by Stacey Thacker and Brooke McGlothlin

A Hope (A Quote from the Book):

“Unless God removes the things that don’t bring him glory – the things that are dead, rotting, and preventing health – we’ll never walk in the fullness of what we were designed by God to do. Yes, it hurts like the dickens. The process can be excruciating at times, leaving us crying out in pain no matter what we do to make it go away. But the end result is something more beautiful than we could ever have created on our own. New life. Beauty from ashes. And the ability to walk in the fullness of who we were created to be.” (p.50, He Heals)

A Help (A Message of Encouragement for Your Journey): Struggling with a challenge, an illness, or any form of dis – ease can be difficult, to say the least. Over the course of time, it can take its toll on a life. For busy moms, this can be tremendously burdensome, especially when considering that we have to be on 100% of the time. We are expected to function optimally, without question and without fail. Sadly, many of us, in an effort to ease the struggle, resort to unhealthy practices or enter into unhealthy relationships that lead to a very unpretty state. But God, in His infinite wisdom, can take every unpretty place within us and around us and turn it into something beautiful. He can take the ashes of our lives, whether in the physical, the mental, the emotional, the relational, or the spiritual, and turn them into a wondrous beauty. He does this by way of Jesus Christ. All healing is in Him. Let us all unwaveringly agree to walk in wholeness and to be made well by the touch of the Savior.

  • Your Hope & Help Lesson for the Week: No matter what you are struggling with or how long you have suffered in silence, the LORD can and will heal you.
  • Your Hope & Help Scripture for the Week: Mark 5:34

A Heart (A Prayer from My Heart to Yours): LORD, You are the God who sees and the God who knows all things. You are aware of the struggles, challenges, sufferings, and battles that each woman in this group is dealing with. You know where her dis -ease resides. You see where her ashes have marred her appearance. I come now asking You to heal her hurts, to remove her stains, and to beautify her unpretty places. Show her how to live both well and abundantly from this moment on. In the saving name of Jesus. Amen.

The Phone Tree Book Club|Kingdom Woman (Day 6/7)

Kingdom Woman – Doing Life (Thoughts on Her Personal Life and Family Life)

“In your personal life as a kingdom woman, it is essential to note that in the good things of life, you should try not to lose the important things…How you schedule your time, as well as your resources, reveals what is truly important.”

“Pruning. Pain. Passionate pursuit of God. All three lead to bearing fruit in the life of a kingdom woman.”

“When you are within your prescribed role, God is free to flow His kingdom blessing both to you and through you.”

“A kingdom woman operates and aligns herself under the comprehensive rule of God without fear. If you will align yourself under God and honor Him in light of the distinct functions He has established within marriage and the parenting role, you can expect to experience God in unprecedented ways.”

Scripture Reflection for the Kingdom Woman: Psalm 37:3-5

Encouragement for the Kingdom Woman & the Aspiring Kingdom Woman: Never busy yourself with the cares of life so much so that you cannot partake of the presence of the LORD. Each day that you are given should be a testament to His goodness. Exalt Him in all things. Delight in Him. Praise Him with joy and gladness. Experience Him anew in every moment, and share that lesson with all who will hear.

The Phone Tree Book Club|Kingdom Woman (Day 5/7)

Kingdom Woman – The Possibilities and Prayers of a Kingdom Woman

“The journey of a kingdom woman is for the woman who is willing to learn the value of getting to know Christ along the path of faith rather than focusing on the path itself.”

“…if you will respond in faith to the one true God, if you will honor Him with your actions despite the chaos around you, if you choose to walk the path of faith that He has called you to, even when you are unsure of the outcome, He will honor, protect, and establish you as a kingdom woman.”

“A kingdom woman knows how to pray…call on God with the authority to get His attention or favor based on your legal status granted by the blood of Jesus Christ and the new covenant.”

“…kingdom women…pray kingdom prayers.”

Scripture Reflection for the Kingdom Woman: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Encouragement for the Kingdom Woman & the Aspiring Kingdom Woman: Place your heart and your hope in God’s hands. He will not fail you. He is faithful and just. He will keep His word even when others may not. If you are hesitant or doubtful in any way, pray to Him and He will answer you.

The Phone Tree Book Club|Kingdom Woman (Day 4/7)

Kingdom Woman – The Power and Pursuit of Faith

“When kingdom women become passionate about what God is passionate about, positive change can occur in lives, families, communities, and even our nation.”

“Kingdom women understand that one of the secrets to a life full of the power of faith is to honor God by what you give to Him and what you give to others in His name.”

“A kingdom woman of faith must pursue both Christ and the authority of the Scripture with a heart of humility. It is only when you kneel down…when you humble yourself under His divine authority based on His divine Word, that you will get the power you need to live out the fullness of your destiny.”

“A kingdom woman pursues Christ in private and in public.”

Scripture Reflection for the Kingdom Woman: Ephesians 3:14-21

Encouragement for the Kingdom Woman & the Aspiring Kingdom Woman: Dare to believe God. Believe Him for His power in and over your life. Believe Him for His deliverance and resolution regarding that which you face. Believe Him for His promise of salvation. If your faith is as small as a mustard seed, don’t worry, God can work with that. Passionately pursue Him in every way and know that He will perfectly provide.

The Phone Tree Book Club|Kingdom Woman (Day 3/7)

Kingdom Woman – A Woman of Excellence/A Woman of Commitment

“…a kingdom woman understands that her unique position calls her to a higher standard than what the culture has set. She knows that God has ordained her for a destiny of excellence.”

“Much of what comes in the life of a kingdom woman will not make headlines. For much of what you do, you may never receive thanks. People may only notice when you are not there or if you don’t do it. But that reality doesn’t change your significance. You are a rare find, a precious jewel.”

“God loves people, women, who are willing to trade in their shining exteriors for usefulness in His kingdom. God treasures the one who desires His purposes over an easy life…God loves the woman who trusts that He will only let her experience the grit and grime necessary for Him to fully use her for His glory.”

“Being a kingdom woman of commitment involves making a decision based in faith to follow God’s prescribed path while aligning yourself under His authority. It will rarely be a path you would have chosen on your own, but it will always lead you to your destiny…”

Scripture Reflection for the Kingdom Woman: Philippians 3:13-15

Encouragement for the Kingdom Woman & the Aspiring Kingdom Woman: God has a word and a way just for you. Don’t doubt that and don’t doubt Him. Humble yourself before Him and He will lift you up. Commit your life to Him and know that He will always do well by you. Give and grow from the place where you stand and trust the LORD to use it in such a way that brings forth the best for His glory and that brings forth the best for your spiritual transformation and excellency.
