• Read 1 Samuel 27-31.

• Take notes on the following:
  • David Among the Philistines
  • David’s Relationship with Israel
  • Shunem and Gilboa
  • Saul and the Medium
  • The Philistines Rejection of David
  • David’s Conflict with the Amalekites
  • A Tragic End for Saul & His Sons
  • The Deeds of the Inhabitants of Jabesh Gilead

• Contemplate and consider the significance of why Saul fell on his sword at the end of his life. Think about how that act related to his prior life choices and his kingship reign. (1 Samuel 31:4)
